Lil' Oondasta

Lil' Oondasta is no scarier than any other fabled beast, but, as with other fabled beasts, it can be difficult to deliver a decent amount of damage. He's also good at delivering enough damage to kill a pet in one or two shots, so that's something to keep an eye on. The team I'm going to recommend here can kill him without any one pet (besides Lil' Oon) getting knocked out.

This team is comprised of essential, easy-to-find pets, so I'm almost certain it'll work for anyone.

First, let's take a look at the competition.

Lil' Oondasta is a Beast that deals Magic and Humanoid damage.
He has 2631 health, 750 power, and 206 speed.
His abilities are:
Frill Blast - Deals Magic damage to your active pet and forces your highest-health pet to swap in.
Spiritfire Beam - Deals Magic damage to your team.
Crush - Deals Humanoid damage to your active pet on 80% accuracy.

Notice his power? Yikes! No wonder he hits so hard.

This is one of those cases where you have to look past your enemy's type to figure out what pet to send. A team of flying pets will just end up as 3 piles of smoking feathers, or maybe the occasional wisp of moth dust lingering in the air. Mechs, though, will work great! They deal more damage to beasts and take less damage from magic-based abilities.

I equip my team as follows:
Cogblade Raptor with Exposed Wounds.
Clockwork Gnome with Build Turret.
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti with Call Lightning and Ion Cannon.

My yeti is stoned to be rare, but I doubt it would make that much of a difference. If need be, one of the other two pets can finish the fight.

First up is the Cogblade Raptor to use Exposed Wounds.
Lil' Oondasta will use Frill Blast and force the Clockwork Gnome to swap in.
Now use Build Turret and then swap in the yeti.
Call Lightning and the Turret and Wounds will work with it to make Lil' Oon suffer.
Ion Cannon packs quite a punch. Don't worry about the 3-round wait - the passive damage will finish him off.

There you have it. Your entire team should still be standing. Aren't you a considerate beast master.
